A Little Culture
Bookwormom frequently posts poetry and I think that’s so classy. So in an effort to add a little dignity to my blog I’ve decided to post some poetry as well.
This is an original work by yours truly. You can’t write a poem like this in a minute. It takes two at least. I think it may go down in the annals as a true American Classic.
My body’s expanding, from my head to my feet.
My butt’s getting wider with each M&M I eat. When this bag is gone I shall buy me no more
and substitute carrots and celery galore.Low-fat and non-fat and veggies I’ll munch
Walking and swimming, the occasional crunchWater before and then after I run
The pounds will just melt like butter in sunBut Thanksgiving is next week with trimmings so yum
And Christmas will follow with good eats for my tumSo maybe I’ll wait until the first of next year,
Yeah! That’s the ticket. Let’s eat with good cheer!
Love this! You’re my kind of gal!
LOL! Oh that was really good (and true!). I loved it! lol. 😀
I love your poetry!! I can DEFINITELY relate to that! LOLthanks for coming by today and such sweet comments!!My friend is doing very well after her surgery and you are right, although I have not prayed for you by name the Lord knew what you’ve been going through!I’ll check back in with you later when I have more time to read the rest of your blog!
And that, girl, is exactly why I have trouble with my diet as well. LOL Too funny! I don’t think I have ever written a poem in my entire life and I admire those who can 🙂
Very creative, Jenster! And so very true too. I can feel my hips expanding as I type this. LOL
LOL!! I love it and it is so true. I have already done that with myself this week.
HA! Clever.
I loved it!! Course, I get mad at Jan 1st and refuse to do resolutions because I set myself up for failure. I should start a diet now and just deal with it. Hey just because I’m going to over eat on Christmas doesn’t mean I won’t lose weight between then and the first of the year. What do ya thing? Did I sell it?CindyS
