She guessed $350 and the next guess was $200. I’m sad (very sad) to say the ticket was $301. I’m happy (very happy) to say I had absolutely nothing to do with it. Todd had dropped Rachel and me off so we could get her to a restroom because she has the pregnancy thimble-sized bladder thing going on. For some reason Todd and his brother didn’t think the big, sign on top of a sign that said NO PARKING, TOW AWAY ZONE, and a bunch of other stuff was for real. Frankly, I’m just happy the car was still there when we returned.

Yikes! That’s a significant enough fine. A friend of mine passed a school bus when its yellow lights were blinking in a school zone because all the kids were off the bus. Of course she got nabbed as soon as she passed the bus. Her fine was $300. Of course the embarassment was pretty bad too. Since her kid went to the school and lots of people witnessed the ticket.

$301!! Good gracious! That will put a dent in your wallet! What’s the ticket for parking in a handicapped spot (something I see people do all the time!)?

Woo Hoo!!! I won!!! And I got my name in lights too!!! Thank you for the kudos, Jenster!!! Was it at the airport? That might have something to do with the high price. OUCH. Altho’ it seems a small price to pay when you consider the alternative of Rachel not making it to the bathroom in time! :-/

That’s crazy!!! And I was upset when we got a 35 dollar parking ticket this Saturday – It’s Easter weekend which to me means a holiday but because it was Saturday (the night my family could all be there) we got a ticket. I’m still considering calling the city about it but yeah, there is a sign and we all knew it was there it’s just where else would we have parked?301 dollars would have had me fuming!!! and probably in a prone position with a cold cloth on my head ;)CindyS

Wow, $300 is a lot! Is it so much because of the zone you were in? Was it like an emergency vehicle zone or something? Around here, my uncle once got pulled over for speeding. The ticket was around $200, I think, but then the cop ticketed him an extra $15 for having an air freshener in the window! I swear, parking and moving violations can really get ya!

I guess I can’t spell, and I know I can’t correct my errors! So, I deleted my previous comment and re-posted. I won’t tell you what I mis-spelled!Well, if I knew Todd was driving, I would have guessed differently! lol At least it was parking, and not a moving violation to count against your insurance. But that’s unreal. Note to self, don’t park in Philly – let Jenni and Todd drive when we go!

Hi Jenster- I agree $301 is pretty steep. I guess we all should follow the driving instructor’s advice & read all the signs before you park! 🙁
