Eggless Cookie Dough Recipe

I’ve just enough time to post the recipe I’ve been promising you guys. So here it is:

1 C. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. packed brown sugar
2 C. all purpose flour
1 pinch salt
1 C. chocolate chips

Cream butter, vanilla and sugar. Sift flour and salt. Mix into butter/sugar. Fold in chips.

The recipe says to spread in a jelly roll pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350. I don’t recommend this at all, however. While the dough was delicious – especially without the chocolate chips – the cookies themselves weren’t very good. They would probably be okay if you baked them in an 8×8 pan instead because they were just too thin.

ENJOY!!

Sounds good.I hate to admit I buy big tubs of Pillsbury Chocolate Chip Cookie dough at BJ’s and eat it raw and cooked. This time of the year I keep one in the fridge because I never know when I’ll need cookies for school or some other function.

Glad you posted this! I ran across your blog by googling “egg-free cookie dough” for the express purpose of making it to eat!And then I realized you are a kindred spirit. 🙂 I, too, enjoy reading, baking, playing piano and writing. Likewise, I am married to a delightful man with whom I have three children. Feel free to stop by and say hello: http://www.notesalongtheway.net

Kris – you’re welcome.Tara – Katie has a severe peanut allergy and Pillsbury, Tollhouse, and every other premade cookie dough “may” contain peanuts. So we have to make the cookies (or the dough) by scratch. Needless to say, we very rarely have cookies. lolVal – Glad I could help a kindred spirit out!Tami – It is downright tasty! :o)Jen
