Halloween Gone By
My kids were off doing their own thing last night and I don’t have any pictures of them. But here’s a fun little walk down memory lane:
1994: Katie’s a week old and Taylor is 2 1/2
1995: Peter Pan and Tinkerbell
1996: Luke Skywalker and Pincess Leia
These are either from 1998 or 1999. Pippie Longstocking and a Ninja. Seemed like Taylor was a Ninja for just about every year after that.
I couldn’t find their 1997 picture – a princess and knight. So cute! Oh, for the days they liked to do themes for their costumes…
Oh, Jen, they’re soooo cute!! Almost makes me wish I had one to dress up and have fun with . . . oh, wait. I DO have one. LOL And I had fun getting her all dressed up last night — in fact, she was Tinkerbell, too. Honestly, I think last night was the best Halloween I’ve had since I was a kid and it’s mostly thanks to Pilot Man, who loves Halloween almost as much as the kids do. My little Tink even let Pilot Man carry her for a bit when Mommy got too tired and just couldn’t lift her anymore . . . wish I’d gotten a picture. Thanks for sharing your pics of Halloweens past, Jen. :-)Jennifer
OMG, they are so cute and how great to dress them in a theme. We did a Wizard of Oz theme for my little guys first 3 Halloweens, now he picks out his own costume.
Thanks! Sometimes I forget just how cute they were until I see pictures. Of course, I am the first to admit that I’m a bit biased.Jennifer – did you not get ANY pictures of Tink?? Oh well. Glad you had a good time. I’m not a huge Halloween fan, but I really enjoyed this year, too.Tara – It was a lot of fun when they were small. If memory serves, by the time Taylor was about 4 or so I’d stopped picking out his costume. And Katie worshipped him so much that she was more than happy to go along with whatever he chose. lolJen
Cute, cute, cute, Jen. I laughed about the multiple years of Ninja. Ours did the same thing–I’d forgotten all about it.
Oh Jen! Those are such cute pictures. I came across some pictures of my kids the other day and started blubbering because they are so big – they are currently 3 and 2! LOL I will be a wreck when they are 15 and 13!!I love the Skywalker and Leia picture! Too cute!
What cute photo’s! Isn’t it fun looking back and seeing what they looked like way back when?
Dee – must be the age. Taylor’s about the same age as one of your sons (14).Jen – The night before Taylor started kindergarten I progressed from “I can’t believe he’s already starting kindergarten” to “Next thing you know he’ll be leaving for college and then getting married.” This through blubbering tears. lol What a loon, I was!! Todd still teases me about that.Kristie – It is fun looking back and seeing pictures of them when they were young. It kind of hurts a little, too, though. Doncha think? But then I think about how much fun they are now and I’m okay.Jen
Those are some cute pictures. I especially loved the Luke and Leia costumes.Aim
Thanks, Aim. The funniest part about the Leia costume was the little tiny buns on each side of Katie’s head. You can’t really see them in this picture, but they’re there. lolJen
OMG…Luke & Princess Leia…that is great! Custest outfits ever!
