I Hope She Takes Me To The Awards Show

Katie tried out for a solo in the Spring Choral Concert about three weeks ago. We found out yesterday she was given one of the solos!!

She has one of those full, rich voices that you don’t hear very often in the 6th grade and we love to listen to her sing. For the variety show last year she sang Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns and I was blown away. I couldnt’ believe that voice was coming from my baby. Of course, I suppose I could be a little bit biased.

So now I’m faced with the question, “What will I wear to the Grammys?”

How great is that? Congratulations Katie. Now about your wardrobe…Sounds like a shopping trip to Rodeo Drive is in order.

Congrats to Katie!Speaking of what to wear, I suggest Badgley & Mischka. Their dresses are to die for.

Oh that’s so awesome that your daughter can sing! I’ve always wished I could because I love to sing—I just don’t do it well. I was singing along to some music the other day and my aunt goes, “What is that? It sounds like something’s dying.” Ouch. Lol.

Oh yeah, forgot to add my congrats! (In the midst of talking about only me, it slipped my mind! lol.) I hope she has a great time doing the concert. That’s such an awesome thing. 🙂

Big congrats to Katie AND to her mom! So when’s the concert going to be?? And will you be testing out your Grammy dress that night? LOL Jennifer, who can’t sing, either, but does anyway 😉

How cool is that? Congrats to Miss Katie. So will we be seeing her performance on-line anytime soon?

Congratulations Katie!! Jen, just be sure you proofread her acceptance speech to include an I-wouldn’t-have-this-voice-if-it-wasn’t-for-my-MOM-line. 🙂

You might be biased…but still, the truth is the truth! And if she is getting the solos, then she is doing fantastic! Congratulations to her and to you!!And I’m sure you’ll look great at the Grammys no matter what you wear!

That is so awesome that Katie is confident enough to put herself out there. I guess having talent doesn’t hurt. 😉 She must be a lot like her mama! Congrats to Katie!!

How exciting! My 6 year old daugher dreams of being a famous siner one day. She will need voice lessons to accomplish this, but refuses. She believes if she wants it bad enough it will happen. I taught her that attitude, but apparently forgot the part about having to work really hard too!
