My Rock Star
Sunday night Katie sang lead on one of the songs at Youth Group. One of the tech guys (Thanks Flitter!!) graciously taped it for us on his own camera and made a YouTube video for us. The sound isn’t premium, but it’s not horrible. Sadly, Taylor is playing guitar stage left but he’s not in the video. That will have to wait for another time.
So now, without further ado, I give you Katie, singing “Mighty To Save”
your heart must be ready to burst, Jenster! She sounds just plain beautiful… what a blessing for all in attendance, but especially for you :)great way to start the day!(coincidentally, just saw S4J’s daughter sing on video this week for my first time… was blown AWAY. Ya’ll need to get your girls together for sure!)
How wonderful! I love when teens are involved and active in their spiritual center. Once again, it speaks well to how you and Todd have done in raising Katie and Taylor.
Oh wow – this is great! She has a nice voice. I’ll second lynilu’s comments – you’re doing an awesome job raising those kidlets of yours. 🙂
Wow. Fantastic! And since we didn’t see him, I assume it was Taylor on the electric? Also great.I know you’re proud 🙂
This is one of my all time favorite songs. I love it! Katie sang it so well! She has a beautiful voice.
That girl can SAAAAANG!It blesses my heart to see young people serving the Lord with their talents and abilities…and I know that it must especially bless their parent’s hearts! While I know it’s by God’s grace and out of their love for Him that they’re up there…but I believe it also speaks well of the great job you’ve done as parents, too. Raising God-honoring kids in this world isn’t easy, that’s for sure!
She rocks! I think she sounds fabulous. Is your momma heart bursting or what?????
I’m so glad you posted this. She sings like an angel. How proud you must be of your beautiful Katie. She is really one special young lady!XXXXX
Tears. For you. Awesome job, Katie!!!!!You know, our youth band plays worship for the main service about every 6 weeks. I’m moved to tears each time. I’m so thrilled that they’re here to lead us on.
2 things. 1 – I am so proud of her! I had no idea she had that in her! she sounded AWESOME.2 – I didn’t read completely, and all I saw in your post was “sadly, taylor was on stage left.” Just thought that was funny. Ps. I needed help yesterday getting out of a mud ditch I got stuck in, and your boy was the first one to come to the rescue. You’ve got two good kids Jen, I’m going to miss them a lot this summer.
Wonderful!!!!! How exciting…I know how proud you were.
