Puppy Poop Ponderings
When I took Sookie out the other morning to do her business it was about 31 degrees out. I was fascinated when I saw the steam coming off the gift she left for me. It was a steaming pile of poop!! Seriously. I mean, I’ve heard derogatory remarks like, “You steaming pile of poop!”, but I’d never actually seen one.
That same afternoon I was telling my neighbor, Laura, about it. Laura is Brady’s mom and she said she’d noticed the same thing. It just goes to show that you can reach the ripe old age of 30 or 40-something and still learn something new.
Another thing I should really just keep to myself but won’t is that I’m always put in mind of a Play-Doh press. You know the little toy you put the play-doh into, push down the lever and it comes out looking like a log? Her tail sticks straight out while she’s working and she even pumps it a couple times at the end.
Some of you are probably cringing, wondering why in the world I would write about excriment. I have no idea. Others of you – I won’t name names (Matt, Ben, Taylor) – are probably thinking, Finally! A worthy post!
Oh crap batman…next you’ll be telling fart jokes!!! lol!!!
I’ve always known that you weren’t above this type of potty humor! 😀
And I thought Roger was the only dog that pumped his stubby little tale when he poops. I’m convinced he does this because he expedites the “delivery”. Trust me as gross as it is to watch your puppy poop, you never lose your facination in watching how they go about their business. I’m still amazed at Roger’s slightly weird fastiousness when he poops. It’s like he’s almost afraid of the stuff touching his little rear when it hits the ground. Okay, that’s enough poop talk of the evening. Looking forward to more of this facinating topic, lol.
People are always amazed at how much DP and I can talk about poop like it’s nothing. We used to work with kids that liked to fling poo. One staff even bought a shirt that said “I fling poo” with a monkey on it.We have been having much poop talk these days given our pups poo issues. Thankfully she seems to be on the mend-though she’s now pooping like 6 times a day. Hard, but plentiful.Glad you are enjoying the finer side of poo-and even have a neighbor to share the joy with. Just don’t be posting any pictures of the mud pies, ok?
We must live in parallel universes because my dtr remarked just this morning how “cute” Annie is when she drops her friends off at the park, so to speak. All in the day of our glamorous lives, eh?Alrighty…gotta go take my tea upstairs, and read, only to then urinate in about 45 minutes. Buhbye. xxxooogretchen
I would NEVER scoff at a poop post! I deal most of my life in poop, not puppy but baby, little boy, little girl, I don’t know how the hell it got all over the bathroom like that, kind of poop! rock on sista!
This is so funny…you described our Chester to a T!!! I watch him in our backyard going potty with that little tail of his, and I feel like I could grab it and use it as a crank to get him to poop faster!!!

You know the little toy you put the play-doh into, push down the lever and it comes out looking like a log?
