Starting Over

I’ve done Weight Watchers (this time) for a week now. I’ve counted points and managed to get some exercise in here and there. I drank a lot of water and tried to choose fruits and veggies over non-fruits and veggies. And what do I have to show for it?

I’m already one-third of the way to my first goal! Oh, if I could only lose five pounds every week. I may be optimistic, but I’m also realistic. I also know this is mostly water weight. Do I care? Nope! Five pounds is five pounds, baby.

So I’m starting again. Five pounds lighter. And next week? I’ll start again. A little lighter than this week. And so on. It’s part of my “one week at a time” strategy. Maybe this time it will work!

I know it’s totally lame that I’m sitting here at my computer doing the cabbage patch, but I’m also chanting “Go Jenster, Go Jenster!”Because that ROCKS! 5 lbs!I just started babysitting today for a friend who is long-term subbing. I’ve been sweating like a farm animal, and so far have only eaten half a banana. I’m hoping the child-care diet will work for me, lol.

I just heart “girl’s” comment.I’m so proud of you! You’ve lost a bag of flour. In just 3 more pounds, you’ll have lost a gallon of milk or a newborn baby–whichever makes you feel more cool. 🙂 I’m doing the “healthy lifestyle” thang, too. Starting…just starting…to feel like I can handle life w/o 3 desserts.

You’re right, 5 lbs is 5 lbs. And 1 lb. less is better than before it is gone. As long as you keep moving in that direction, you’ll be a winning loser! How ’bout that? :DGood for you!!!

That’s great! When I complain about my weight my husband says to exercise. I don’t like to exercise. Fortunately, I’ve only gained 6 lbs, but I figure it has to start somewhere. 🙁

TA DA!!!! Whenever The Hoffer & I would diet and lose some "water weight", his cousin would always remind us that's all it was, so in her mind it didn't really count. So discouraging!!! WHO CARES!!! 5 POUNDS IS 5 POUNDS!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
