Thankful – Day Six

I’m feeling really thankful right now, but my feet hurt from being on them most of the day and I’m about to fall asleep as I type. So I’m going to keep this one short and sweet.

I was up at 6:00 this morning – A SATURDAY – and you all know how much I love sleeping in the morning. But it was okay because I was headed to the church to see months of planning come to fruition. The First Annual CLEAR Women’s Expo, featuring local women entrepreneurs and artisans. My cohorts, Becky and Michele, and I were more than satisfied how things turned out and, in fact, it exceeded our imaginations. We had 30 vendors and about 300 visitors. It was an incredible first Expo and I’m looking forward to the Second Annual! Of course, I’m hoping to sleep a lot between now and then.

So what am I thankful for today?

I’m thankful for the vendors that came to be a part of the expo. I’m thankful that the visitors had a great time. I’m thankful to be part of a great team. I’m thankful to be part of a church that allowed us this opportunity. I’m thankful for the restraint I showed when I made my rounds! And I’m thankful that God laughed at our paltry expectations and went a few steps further!

Oh. And there’s a part of me (mostly both feet) that’s a little thankful it’s over! Except now it’s time to work on the December brunch. But I’m okay with that because I adore this stuff. Utterly, completely,  totally –  and anything else that means the same thing – love it!
