Thankful – Day Three
It’s only day three and I almost forgot my vow to post something I’m thankful for every day in the month of November!! This doesn’t bode well for me. But I press on.
Today I’m thankful for Chick-Fil-A for the following reasons:
1. Katie and I were at work until 5:00 (she interns for Student Ministries after school on Mondays and Wednesdays). Todd wasn’t going to be home for dinner so she and I decided on a drive through meal.
2. My first non-bland food was a delicious original Chick-Fil-A sandwich and half of a small cookies and cream milkshake (the half that includes the whip cream and cherry, of course). I was a little worried, but it’s been several hours and I’m still okay.
3. The thought that they might employ my daughter. She picked up an application today and came straight home to fill it out. I know that doesn’t mean she has a job, but I’m thankful that she even has the opportunity.
4. The way they care about their community. Our Chick-Fil-A is probably the best in the entire country (and I’m not saying that just because I know the owners and a bunch of the employees).
And that’s why I’m thankful for Chick-Fil-A.
I know what you’re thinking. Jenster couldn’t come up with anything better to be thankful for?
Jenster could come up with something better to be thankful for, but she’s saving those for the days when she really needs to pull out the big guns. Today was a good day so I’ll just be appreciative of the little things.
Tomorrow? Who knows?
I love me some Chick-Fil-A. My new favorite thing is the grilled chicken sandwich with the honey BBQ sauce.
Yes, so thankful 🙂
