The Hotel Room

Tuesday I showed you the public areas of the Waldorf. Now here’s a little tour of our room.

Our very own pretty little entry chandelier

A too dark picture of the windows. I should have closed the blinds so you could see the incredible window treatments.

The closet and the TV armoire with the snack bar and fridge that probably cost an arm and a leg but we wouldn’t know because we were too afraid to try it.

I couldn’t even be bothered to pick up the stuff we just dumped before I snapped this photo. I should have waited until we got everything put up, but I didn’t.

The vanity.

The pretty little extras.

Self explanatory.

Shower soap. (Still self explanatory.)

And you’ve got to get a picture of the phone in the bathroom, don’t you? Katie could easily get a job there and probably move up the ranks pretty quickly because as S4J and GGG can attest, she does waaaaaaay better folds on the toilet paper.

The towels were the softest, most plush towels I’ve ever used. And the pictures don’t do the room justice. It really was beautiful and swanky and the last time I’ll ever stay there…

Go Katie! Get a good job at the WA so we can all come jump on their beds. I mean…so we can enjoy the swank as we visit you at work!

Good Lord! I don’t think I would pass the credit check to be allowed to sleep in the bathroom! haha!

Ohhh, that’s beautiful. Very elegant and cozy. What fun!I’ve stayed in a couple of similarly clad rooms, albeit, very different styles. One was in the Monteleone in New Orleans, a grand old hotel with marble everywhere, including the grand staircase. The rooms were Southern style, rather than what you show here, but lavish and plush. The other was in Lake Tahoe, but I don’t remember which hotel. It was super sleek and modern. This one had two (2) full bathrooms, one with a spa tub and a full dressing room, and the other with a multi-head shower, with phones in both! The bathrooms took up nearly half the space of our suite, they were just huge. Isn’t it fun to occasionally stay in a place that you know you’ll never stay again?

Deemarie – It was a fun bit of fantasy!Gretchen – YEAH!GGG – Hello… Hilton points… No credit check necessary…Lynilu – OH! The Monteleone on Royale, a block off Bourbon!! Todd and I stayed there about 19 years ago with some friends from Cali – she worked as a touring agent and didn’t have to pay for hotel rooms. It was lovely!!That Lake Tahoe hotel sounds incredible!Cheryl – I don’t know that hotel. The next time I find myself in San Antonio I’ll have to look it up.

Wow, that’s some hotel. Right now I’m on a business trip, staying in a Courtyard. It’s nice enough, nothing fancy. It must be really nice to be a bit pampered.

Is it me or is it wrong to have a phone in the bathroom? I really don’t need to answer or make a call that bad…

Talk about swanky! I hope you snuggled in and enjoyed living in the lap of luxury to the fullest, lol.Loved the pink striped walls. I wonder if Jeff would care if I did something like that in the master bathroom……naw, he’d probably then insist on dragging his old athletic trophies into the living area.

I have always wanted to see one of the rooms in that hotel, thank you for the pictures. It looks so beautiful and lush. I’m so glad you and Katie had the opportunity to stay there, what a special treat. When you are in a place like that time goes by so fast! I’m glad it was a special trip, you both deserve it.
