The Spoils Of My Wins

After Mother’s Day a few weeks ago Manic Mom had a contest. Whoever could guess exactly what she got at Cold Stone Creamery would get a gift certificate to the same place. Being the devious, I mean resourceful person I am, I hightailed it over to Swishy’s blog. Sure enough, Manic had left a comment as to what she ordered from Cold Stone on Swishy’s blog. So I won the gift certificate!

Then a couple days later Swishy put names of her commenters in a hat (or something) and picked out a few to receive a Grey’s Anatomy CD. I won that, too! Except it was actually two CDs!

Now that my blisters and rashes and whatnot seem to be healing I’ve decided I need to start eating right and exercising again. With that in mind I figured I’d better go get my ice cream as a sort of last hurrah. So yesterday I listened to my new CDs while I drove to Cold Stone. It was perfect! I got a Peanut Butter Cup Perfection in a chocolate dipped waffle bowl with peanuts. Look how humongous it is!! It was my lunch AND dinner.

So today I was supposed to start the whole eating healthy/exercise thing. But I ended up getting an iced White Chocolate Mocha at Starbuck’s while I was running errands and Chinese food for lunch. But I don’t think I should have to take responsibility for the Chinese food because it was next door to the cleaner’s I had to stop at and the smell lured me in.

Maybe tomorrow…

Afterall, Tommorrow is another day! That ice cream sure sounds good… I guess I need to find our Cold Stone store. We just got a new one in town, before we moved!

Loving the Cold Stone, and I think after what you have been through the past through weeks, a nice cup of peanutbutter cup perfection or whatever it is called is well deserved and hopefully, really, really enjoyed!! I was suppose to start walking today too, and didn’t, but lets not beat ourselves up. Enjoy the good stuff and we’ll walk tomorrow…..if its not too hot or raining. Congrats. on Grey’s Anatomny Mix! Have a great night. XOXO

OK, that would so not have been my choice of ice cream (I’m not into chocolate and PB–a Reese’s fuggetaboutit!)… BUT, you’ve just slipped an iced white mocha into my brain and I am sooooo going to get one tomorrow! And hey, I GOT THOSE CDs TOO!!! Don’t Swishy-gal rock!Word Out

YUMMY! That looks SO GOOD! I have lowly ice cream sandwiches in my freezer. I might have to grab one and pretend 🙂 You are the best! Love my Jenster!

  6. Jenster on June 6, 2007 at 8:34 am

Terri- You need to scope out the Cold Stone before we come down for our visit!Jen – Well it is the largest serving they have. They should probably say serving for two.Eileen – I’m going to start today. Sort of. I’m still getting another iced White Chocolate Mocha to accompany me on all my errands. But I don’t think that counts. Does it?Manic – I love chocolate and peanuts or peanut butter and I can never get enough! Both you and Swish ROCK!!Swish – An ice cream sandwich will do in a pinch!Thank you, again, Manic and Swishy!!

manic, are you crazy? chocolate and peanut butter is the best combination evah!!Jen, that looks amazing and I want some NOW. For breakfast.I’m trying to lose these last 10 pounds and have been doing Weight Watchers halfassed forever. But I’ve also been doing really great on the jogging and working out, and for some reason I can never eat well and keep up an exercise routine simultaneously. It’s like the patting your head and rubbing your stomach thing. I just can’t do it.

  8. Jenster on June 6, 2007 at 8:39 am

Jen – Ice cream is very good for you at breakfast. My Cold Stone, for example, has dairy, protein and grain. Pretty well rounded.LOL on the patting your head and rubbing your tummy!!! It’s so true, though!

  9. Jenster on June 6, 2007 at 8:40 am

Monnik – I’m not sure why, but I just called you me. LOL I meant to say, “Monnik – “, etc.No coffee yet. Yeah. That’s it.

After everything you’ve been through, you deserve to eat whatever the heck you want.Dang, that looks yummy, but I don’t like chunks in my ice cream. And I really only like vanilla.

  11. Zeek on June 6, 2007 at 10:07 am

That ice cream looks decadent! (I love cold stone! Unfortunately,or fortunately for my waisteline, the only one I’ve seen around is at the beach!!)

You have made me very hungry this morning!

  13. Terri on June 6, 2007 at 11:17 am

Don’t see a Cold Stone nearby, but I do have a Marble Slab (similar store) and a Baskin Robbins 31 flavors not too far. I need to check out the 31 flavors, as a trip down memory lane if nothing else!

I’ll take it as a compliment to be called you. :DI’ve never been to cold stone. There is one at the new snooty-expensive mall in Des Moines. I’ll have to check it out next time my daughter makes me take her there…

Woo Hoo I love winning stuff! And that ice cream looks like something I could eat for days and still be full. YUM

  16. Tara Marie on June 6, 2007 at 12:57 pm

I’m green-eyed with jealousy, we don’t have a Cold Stone Creamery in our area. But Chinese food for lunch sounds really good. And I made Pillsbury Turtle cookies, that would make a good snack.

Now that I see your picture I want to make a run to Cold Stone. Once again you have put a smile on my face. You are fun!

  18. Travis Erwin on June 6, 2007 at 5:43 pm

Winning is always fun. Buy a lottery ticket while you ‘re hot.

  19. Rosie on June 6, 2007 at 6:06 pm

Isn’t it wonderful when you win something? The ice cream looks and sounds yummy. I’m going to toss it to my husband as a dinner suggestion tonight.I’ve been catching up on posts from while I was gone. I’m so glad you feel better Jen and had a good laugh about the boobs and Roxanne. My parents had a fight over my name and my Dad wanted Roxanne. Glad Mom won out so I don’t have to worry about the boob thing. 😉

  20. Burg on June 6, 2007 at 6:19 pm

At first glance I thought there was no possible way that was a real ice cream, and now I want one really bad!

  21. DebC on June 6, 2007 at 7:34 pm

Jen-Not only do we have a Cold Stone in our little town, but it is owned by a friend of mine!! When we go in he is always making us HUGE portions. He always brings their ice cream cakes to parties…can you say YUM?? Next time you go try my favorite: half cheesecake ice cream, half chocolate ice cream, brownie bits, black cherries and hot fudge…can you say decadent?? I love the stuff. It calls to me in the night…LOL. In fact I may need to run in to town now……Deb C

Woo hoo on the wins, Jen! I don’t care much for ice cream unless it’s Blue Bell (well, I AM a Texas girl, born and bred!), but I LOVE both the Grey’s Anatomy CDs — they are AWESOME!! Kameron especially loves track #4 on the Volume 2 CD . . . I pretty much like them all and have been listening to them both nonstop for some time now. :)Hugs,Jennifer

Colorado Writer – My FIL only eats vanilla, too! LOLZeek – What waisteline?? And you have Sonic! Though it’s not exactly the same, it’s still a great thing to have. Have you been there yet??Radioactive Girl – Nuthin’ better than ice cream for breakfast!!Terri – Marble Slab is great! Todd and I went to one in San Antonio several moons ago. YUM!Monnik – You really must try it. It would be a shame to go through life without having it just once.Trish – If only ice cream in a waffle bowl had a longer shelf life it would have lasted for days!Tara Marie – No Cold Stone?? I’m sorry. But yes, the Chinese was yummy.April – Glad I made you smile. :o) But I bet not as much as some ice cream would!Travis – Why didn’t I think of that??Rosie – Ice cream is so versatile you can eat it for breakfast, lunch OR dinner! And LOL on the Roxanne/boob thing!Burg – Oh, yeah, baby! It was as real as it gets!!DebC – It’s not what you know, but WHO you know. And your creation sounds wild!! Yummy!Jennifer – I love Blue Bell ice cream. Then again, I’m not terribly picky. LOL And the CDs are GREAT!
