Valley Forge

I’ve finally named my camera. She is now to be known as Precious because I am very Gollum about her. She is my precious…

Yesterday I had to run into KOP so I grabbed Precious and drove through Valley Forge on my way home. I could have spent hours upon hours there. As it is I took about 150 pictures. But don’t worry, I won’t post all of them. I do wish I would have gone last week, before the rains came and washed off a lot of the leaves. Still, it was gorgeous. So Lynilu (and anyone else who may be interested) – this is for you!

K, I’m loving all these pics that you and Precious are posting. They’re gorgeous, and making me wish I lived somewhere where the colors change other than between green and brown.

A feast for mine eyes and fodder for my brain. Glad Todd’s tooth is on the path to full recovery, boo that it is going to be out of pocket. Voting is awesome! I am now inspired to prove that there are actually seasons in the South (besides love-bug season) and to continue to ponder naming my camera. Question: Are you naming the body, or the entire configuration with lens??

Oh, Jen, those are soooo nice. I love the colors …. and the Colors. I just went through those several times and lingered. I can almost smell the leaves! Thank you. And BTW, if it was better last week before the rains …. I don’t think I could have stood it! 🙂

Just amazing. Your pics have captured so many things for me. First of all, the hallowed, sacred beauty that is a place soaked with the blood of patriots. Secondly, the reason why I fall deeper in love with Penn’s Woods each time I see her…Thanks for the visual dessert!

These pictures look straight out of a movie. They’re soooo beautiful and there’s a peace and tranquility in their beauty.

Wonderful photos. I love the one of the tree-lined road. It makes me think of the poem…the road less travelled.
