What I Wanted and What I Got
This is what I had hoped to look like after surgery on Friday. (Carmen Electra, in case you can’t see the photo well)
This is much closer to reality
I was unhooked from everything today except I did come home with three drain tubes. YUCK! So there is no misunderstanding, I HATE drain tubes. But I’m hoping to get them out by the end of the week.
Today I had my first shower since last Thursday. It was divine!
I’m not supposed to lay flat so I’m going to be sleeping in TODD’S green chair for a little while.
Okay. I’m tired now! Good to be back, though. I’m looking forward to doing some major bloghopping over the next few days. Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers!
You are too funny. I am so glad you posted. Fill us in on the details when you are back on your feet.
Glad it’s over… Yippeee. :)Happy Recovering… or something! ;)Hugs,Dana
Yikes, a train wreck. Hope your recovery is a quick one.Hugs and prayers, Tara
Jenni, you know I’ve been thinking about you these last few days (although I have to admit, I completely forgot about your surgery on the 29th! Mom told me you came through fine, and that’s when I remembered!). We are still moving, and still no computer at the house yet. But, I’m back to work and the internet! I’m so glad to see you home and blogging again. Prayers for a quick recovery. And, I’m sure you will be looking like Carmen Electra soon!
So glad to see you back, Jen! I hope you’re feeling much better soon.
Hi Jen (waving :)!Glad to know you are home and have made camp in Todd’s green chair! LOL We have a much coveted chair at our house as well – which also happens to be green :)Best wishes for a speedy recovery and happy blog hopping!
Howdy, Jen!! So good to hear from you at long last, although I’m sorry you’re not feeling like the incredibly stacked woman you thought you’d feel like post surgery. Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be feeling like having your own Victoria’s Secret Lingerie show eventually. *grin* Just take some time to let your body heal and enjoy all that being waited on hand and foot, not to mention all the reading. Which reminds me . . . I need to make a run to the mailbox store to mail off a certain package to a certain someone. Sorry it’s so late, but please keep in mind that I am the Queen of Procrastination. :)G
Thank you for posting so soon!! And I’m so glad everything went well. And just watch. Once you get the tubes out and everything is settled down – well I’m sure you’ll be much more like Carmen.
So glad that your surgery is over and that you’re well…but you’ve got to sleep in Todd’s green chair? That can’t be too comfortable.((((Jen))))So glad you’re okay.
Hi Jenster! Hope your recovery is progressing apace. Hope Todd’s chair is comfy~
I am so glad you are up and blogging again. Hang in there. Once the tubes come out you’ll feel 100% better. I can’t wait to talk to you and hear all about everything.Love Ya,Rhonda
We miss you Jen and hope that you are feeling better. Enjoy the green chair while you have sympathy points with Todd, milk it for as long as you can.
Jen,I love you and have been thinking about you a lot over the last couple of weeks and checking your blog regularly for updates. I hope you feel really good soon!
Yay…so the kids have been constructed…we should have some kind of virtual party in honor of them…with party hats and all. I can picture these hats already and believe me, I am laughing! Never fear, reconstructive surgery really is a cross between road construction and a jigsaw puzzle. I actually have a nose made out of my rib…no lie! I’ll tell ya that story some other time… Anyhoo, thank the good Lord above for spare parts, huh?! 😉
