Who are Dixie & Daisy?

You may have noticed the counter on my sidebar that says “Dixie and Daisy”. That nifty little business is counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until I have reconstruction on December 29th.

That’s right, people. Goodbye Uniboob, hello Dixie and Daisy. No more worrying about my boob ending up around my waist when I go swimming or reaching up to scratch my left shoulder and realizing that things have shifted up to my collar bone. The days of lugging around hot and uncomfortable silicone prostheses all day or constantly readjusting the lighter, more comfortable shoulder pads (they work great! – thanks, Beth!) are coming to an end. Oh, happy day!!

And where did I get the names Dixie and Daisy? Why, Blogthings, of course! Truly, is there anything they don’t have a quiz for??

Your Boobies’ Names Are…

Dixie and Daisy

In case you’re wondering, hubby has absolutely NO say in what size I become. I’m used to walking upright and I’d like to keep it that way.

Woo hoo! The girls will be here pretty darn soon, huh? And I’m loving the names — mine turned out to be Bambi & Thumper. Who knew? LOL Have fun picking out new bras, Jen. :)Jennifer

Terri – that’s so funny about the little girls. Now you’ll never be able to look at them without thinking about my chest! Poor girls… And in case I forget (like I usually do) HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!Aim – Yeah. I know, kind of weird of me to name them. Then again, you know how I am.Jennifer – Bambi & Thumper? LOL!!! And I can’t WAIT to go buy new bras. Remember I had kind of a bra fettish or something – gave away over 30 bras before we moved. I haven’t been in a Victoria’s Secret since right before my diagnosis and I’m looking forward to visiting them when they’re having their great bra sales. WOO HOO!!Jen

Hmmmm…I have a dog named Daisy…now every time I see my dog I am going to think of your boobs…or boob anyway! At least the other one isn’t named Dingo or Dutch (my other 2 dog’s names) or else I would probably have to stop speaking to you. lolFYI – mine are Tweedledee & Tweedledum…of course. I would definitely have to say the left one is Tweedledum…for reasons I shall not disclose. HA!

  11. Jenster on November 11, 2006 at 2:42 pm

That’s okay, Jodi. I’ll just let my imagination run wild as to why the left one is Tweedledum. lolI have a friend with a dog named Dixie and a daisy tattoo on her leg. So I figure she’ll think of my boobs every day. How sad for her. FYI – I’m thinking Daisy will be my right boob.

Hmm…well mine are Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding. Wasn’t expecting that. I think I’ll just continue calling them “the girls”.

  13. Jenster on November 11, 2006 at 7:37 pm

Yeah. “The girls” are WAY better than naming them two people I don’t like. lolJen
