Instead of addressing the elephant in the room, I’m going to talk about the weather.
You know the elephant of which I speak, don’t you? It would be the fact that I haven’t written on my blog for over two years and, shamefully, never even finished the accounting of Katie’s wedding.
I have a ton of things I could write about, but I’m going to ease back into this blogging thing. Because I need to be writing regularly and both of my readers have made it clear they miss my blog.
Well, they didn’t exactly say they missed my blog. And “both” implies there was more than just one person.
Creative license, and all that.
Anyway, prepare yourself to be riveted…
About the weather –
Yesterday morning was beautiful! It was exactly what I wish the entire summer would be like. Cool(ish), low humidity, so pleasant outside. It was just lovely. As opposed to last week when we were in the middle of a terribly humid, disgusting heat wave. Unfortunately for me, that was the day I woke up and decided to give up whining.
To loosely quote the guy in Airplane, I picked the wrong day to stop whining. I stepped outside at 7:45 in the morning and immediately commenced to whine. How can three steps from the garage door to the car cause so much sweating and hair frizz? It’s unnatural. And gross. And worthy of all kinds of whining.
So I’ve amended my decision to give up whining. I will only whine about crumby weather and lack of coffee.
Today was another beautiful day and I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious cup of joe before work, so there was no whining.
The day is still fairly young, though…
